What storage option is best for you?

You know that you need storage. It’s clear. You’ve run out of space to effectively live and operate in your space.

So, you are ready to make the plunge and lease storage. Now, it’s time to figure out what kind of storage you need.

Will self-storage, like you’d find at Access Storage, Sentinel Storage or Depotium Mini Entrepôt, be what you need? Or, would a portable storage container, like what Cubeit provide better serve you?

Here are some things to consider when making this important decision.

Are you a storage introvert or an extrovert?

When it comes to storage you have two basic choices. Are you an introvert, who likes to spend most of the time at home or are you an extrovert who loves to get out there in the community. We are being a bit silly, but it really does come down to where you want your storage to be located – at home or at a secure facility you must travel to.

Bringing it home

Let’s start by talking about portable storage containers.

With Cubeit portable containers, you have an 8 x 8 x 16-foot container delivered to where it is that you need it. Once delivered, you fill them with whatever it is that you need stored or moved. Once done, you can keep the container in the same place for the duration of your lease period, or have it delivered to a new location.

It’s that convenient

That sounds perfect, doesn’t it? However, there are some situations where self-storage might make more sense though.

Cubeit portable storage containers work best for short term needs, like a renovation project, or for a move. When you are looking to store things for an extended period then a self-storage facility will likely offer you better rates, as well as 24/7 security.

Got space?

You also should consider the space that will be needed for a Cubeit portable storage container. That means having a driveway big enough, permission from your municipality to put it at curbside, or be willing to place it on your lawn.

Also, most condo buildings are going to limit what you can place in communal areas, unfortunately. For those who cannot accommodate the containers on their property, self-storage is right for them.
